DobbyLight account and data deletion
About your account
DobbyLight does not create or store a separate username or password. You sign in using your existing Google Account. DobbyLight stores a minimal access record containing your Google account identifier, access tier and security-revocation status. This record is used only to validate access to DobbyLight and protect the service.
Request deletion of your DobbyLight access record
- Email developerdobbylight@gmail.com from the Google email address you use with DobbyLight.
- Use the subject DobbyLight access record deletion.
- We may ask you to verify that you own the Google Account before processing the request.
After verification, we will delete the DobbyLight server-side access record associated with your Google account identifier within 30 days. DobbyLight does not delete or manage your underlying Google Account.
Delete individual DobbyLight data
You can delete individual items without requesting deletion of your DobbyLight access record or deleting your Google Account. Open DobbyLight, navigate to the relevant calendar event, task, family member, chore, reward, meal, growth entry, journal entry or attachment, and use the available delete or remove option.
Data deleted through DobbyLight is removed from its corresponding storage location in your Google Account, such as Google Calendar, Google Tasks or Google Drive. Synchronisation records representing a deletion may be retained in your private Google Drive app data temporarily so the deletion can be applied across your devices, and are removed during automatic log compaction.
You can also manage or delete relevant information directly through Google Calendar, Google Tasks and Google Drive.
Data deleted and retained
Deleting your DobbyLight access record removes your Google account identifier, access tier and security-revocation status from DobbyLight's server. DobbyLight does not retain your name, email address, family data, calendar events, tasks, journal entries or photos on its server.
Your family information is stored in your own Google Account. Deleting the server-side access record does not automatically delete events, tasks, files or app data stored there. You remain in control of that data and can delete it through DobbyLight or the relevant Google service.
Information may be retained where required for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes.
Revoke access
You can revoke DobbyLight's access through your Google Account security settings at any time. Revoking access prevents DobbyLight from accessing your Google data in the future, but does not by itself delete existing events, tasks, files or your DobbyLight server-side access record.
